Kali Linux 2024.1 is out: updated design, new tools and features
The developers of Kali Linux Link hid from the guests their new version 2024.1, which marked important changes for cybersecurity professionals and hackers. This release includes improved tools, an updated design, and enhanced desktop features highlighting Kali as the primary choice for conducting penetration tests, security audits, and network analysis.
The new version of Kali Linux 2024.1 introduces four innovative tools that significantly expand the capabilities of security professionals. Among them:
opentaxii — TAXII server from EclecticIQ;
readpe — tools for working with Windows PE files;
snort — network intrusion detection system;
Blue-Hydra is a Bluetooth device detection tool.
It is important to note that the operating system kernel has also been updated to version 6.6. In addition, a convenient function for copying VPN IP addresses to the clipboard has appeared for Xfce users, which greatly simplifies the process of managing VPN connections.
