The release of the antiX distribution 22. What's new. Linux
The release of the antiX 22 distribution has taken place. Let's look at the main changes in the new version.
antiX is a lightweight Linux distribution that is not demanding of system resources. It is positioned as Linux for older computers. Does not use systemd. The sysVinit or runit initialization systems are used. It has 32 and 64-bit versions. Editions: net, core, base, full.
What's new
Linux kernel 4.9.0-326.
The new version of the IceWM 3.0 window manager.
Firefox 102.3 (full).
Seamonkey 2.53.14 (base).
The components elogind, libpam-elogind and libelogind0 have been removed. Instead, seats and consolekit are now used. logind is a fork of the logind component from the systemd subsystem. To remove dependencies from libsystemd0/libelogind0, developers had to rebuild many Debian packages, including apt, cups, dbus, gvfs, openssh, policykit-1, procps, pulseaudio, rpcbind, rsyslog, samba, sane-backends, udisks2, util-linux, webkit2gtk and xorg-server.
The non-working mps-youtube component has been removed.
Sakis3G has been replaced with a modem manager (gui).
Improved localization of the system.
