Blackberry OS is designed specifically for BlackBerry smartphones. The OS is known for its security, multitasking, and compatibility with enterprise email infrastructures using services such as Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino. In addition, calendar, tasks, notes and contacts are also supported when used with BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
Other features, including Messenger, have become a key component of the operating system, allowing users to exchange instant messages online.
Rumors say that BlackBerry is officially dead. But the company itself claims that millions of people are still using its BB10 and BBOS devices, and that BB10 will work until 2020. This means that network access for gadgets will continue to be provided over the coming years.
