What hardware configuration is needed to run Windows 7 on a PC? Don't go crazy trying to figure it out, here are the technical specifications you need for your computer to work properly:
A 1 GHz processor.
1 GB of RAM, although 2 GB is highly recommended.
A screen with a minimum resolution of 800x600 with an additional multi-touch function.
A video card compatible with DirectX9 and a WDDM 1.0 or higher controller. Windows Aero requires 128 MB of video memory.
16 GB of free hard disk space, although 20 GB is recommended.
These requirements are suitable for a 32-bit processor, but the recommended specifications are required for 64-bit versions.
