Multicast clients.
• Hosts that want to receive certain multicast data are called multicast clients. Multicast clients use services initiated (started) by client programs to send multicast data to groups.
• Each multicast group represents one multicast destination IP address. When a host sends data for a multicast group, the host puts the multicast IP address in the packet header (in the destination section).
• A special block of IP addresses has been allocated for multicast groups, from 224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255.
