Discuz! X3.4 is a relatively new integrated engine from Comsenz (developer Discuz!, uCenter, UCHome, ECShop, ECMall, ...). The main purpose of the engine is to simplify the integration of various services on one site. In fact, it is a technologically new, software solution made in PHP and MySQL to create a high-performance and multifunctional resource with elements of a social network. Roughly speaking, it is a symbiosis of a social network and a forum in one bottle. I want to inform you that this forum is completely free for non-commercial use!
The most recent release is still in test mode, but it is quite ready for working projects.
Of the important changes:
Chinese cloud services have been removed, now they are not mandatory at all;
Developers have added full support for php7;
Added utility to disable cloud services;
The development has moved to a new stage, the Chinese have made a public repository and are developing discuz by the community;
Added the ability to upload an avatar using scripts, not just using Flash;
Several vulnerabilities have been closed and stability has been improved/coming soon
