Who owns the domain name?
Our service is similar to other anonymous domain registration services in that we act as a third-party proxy between the registrar and you. As such, we "technically" own the domain, which you control. Part of the domain ordering process with us is that our company name, address, and other contact information are used when placing the order with the registrar. This is an added layer of privacy beyond private public WhoIS, as this leaves you private to the registrar itself.
Are there any limitations on what I can order?
Yes. There are a large number of unsupported domain TLDs and ccTLDs that we cannot offer due to their strict or invasive eligibility requirements. For that reason, you'll find that many ccTLDs are unsupported. Additionally, we will not allow the registration of a domain name that contains a term that would indicate that the domain would likely be used for phishing or other fraudulent activity (Ex: "chase-secure", "account-google", etc).
Can I transfer my domain name to you?
Absolutely! Pricing varies depending on the domain chosen; however, we can accept domain transfers for our support domains. Please make sure that your domain name is unlocked and ready to be moved when you initiate your transfer order. You'll need your EPP / Auth code from your existing registrar and may need to confirm your transfer via your point of contact with that company.
Can I transfer my IncogNET domain to a new registrar?
You sure can, anytime that you want to! If you'd like to transfer your domain name to another registrar you may do so by first unlocking the domain name from your domain control panel. Using the EPP / Auth code provided, you can then initiate the transfer at the new registrar. If you require any help or assistance in this matter, we'll be happy to lend you a hand.
Can I buy a domain with crypto? What coins do you accept?
You can buy a domain name using BitCoin (BTC), Monero (XMR), LiteCoin (LTC), Doge, and DASH, which we process in-house and without a third-party exchange. We also accept a comically large number of alt-coins through Trocador, which has been integrated into the checkout process. If you have it, we probably accept it.
