Edubuntu Freedom for every classroom
The development of Edubuntu was supposed to make it as easy as possible for teachers and children of any age to work with the OS. The OS comes bundled with all the best free educational software GCompris, KDE Education Project, SchoolTool calendar. It comes with a GNOME graphical shell, but it is possible to install KDE.
There is a large repository of educational programs, in addition to standard office and multimedia applications, there are tools for programming (in Basic, Pascal, Haskell, Java, Lisp, Perl) and web development. A total of 34,000 programs are offered to users.
