Mageia 9 — GNU/Linux distribution
About Mageia 9
Mageia 9 is a GNU/Linux distribution for your computer released by the Mageia community. It can be installed in several ways, the most popular of which are Live or classic ISO.
Live ISOs allow you to try Mageia without installation. Use these instructions to install the Live ISO on a CD, DVD, or USB device. Then you can launch Mageia right from there and try Mageia 9 using one of the graphical user interfaces like GNOME or Plasma.
If you like Mageia, you can install it on your hard drive.
The classic ISO is the more common way to install Mageia directly. See the full documentation on this topic.
Mageia 9 includes several graphical shells, in particular Plasma, GNOME, Xfce, Mate, Lxde and Cinnamon.
You will find many different programs in the official repositories. The full list of packages can be found in the Mageia Application Database.
