U.S. Cyber Command increases budget for international operations
Biden signed a bill on defense policy worth $858 billion, expanding the possibilities of conducting cyber operations of the US government, The Record reports.
From the defense budget, it is planned to allocate an additional $44 million dollars for expenses for the operations of the Cyber Command called "Hunt Forward or "Preemptive Hunting".
The bill states that if a threat from a foreign state is "active, systematic and ongoing" against the US government or critical infrastructure, then the US Cyber Command will have the right to respond to challenges with offensive cyber operations with Biden's permission.
