Manchester United Football Club was caught plagiarizing when creating the NFT Manchester United Digital Collectibles collection.
The NFT artist, known under the pseudonym Lucréce, noticed the similarity between his works and the drawings created by TRILITECH PLATFORM OY by order of the team. He doesn't understand why the company's employees used the original design and style of the pictures without his knowledge.

The NFTs issued by the "Red Devils" were quickly sold out and brought in revenue of about $311080, so Lucréce decided to make a deal with the club and receive part of the money raised from the sale of tokens.
On December 29, Lucréce reported that representatives of the "MU" had contacted him to discuss the terms of the agreement. He did not talk about the results of the negotiations, but noted that they were "productive". Accordingly, it can be assumed that the team will pay the artist monetary compensation.
