• Routing Information Protocol (RIP) is a remote vector routing protocol. Routers operating through this protocol send all or part of their routing table to neighbors in a message for updating.
What is IPS?
• An intrusion prevention system (IPS - Intrusion prevention system) is a network security tool (can be a hardware device or software) that continuously monitors malicious activity on the network and takes measures to prevent it. In particular, it generates reports, blocks or disables malicious actions if they actually occur.
What is IGMP Snooping?
The traditional mode of unicast transmission over the network does not meet modern data transmission requirements, because instead it increases the load on the network and significantly consumes network bandwidth. IGMP Snooping was developed to solve this problem.
What is an intranet?
• Intranet — an internal network of a company or government agency that operates on the principle of the Internet, but is closed to unauthorized users. Simply put, this is the Internet in miniature, or the private Internet.
