XenForo Subtleties: License Bypass

Today I'll tell you how to hack XenForo CMS.

It's actually a very simple process, requiring you to modify just two files in the archive provided on the official website.

Let's start by saying that this is a paid CMS, priced around $200. However, with a few simple steps, you can bypass the license and share it with family and friends without any worries.

Yes, of course, you need a purchased license for this system. Who said it would be easy?

This is more likely necessary so you can use it on multiple domains, since XenForo is initially domain-specific.

But it's also possible to share your version of this CMS with anyone without fear of having your license revoked.

Open the archive downloaded from the official website and navigate to the file ⁡upload\src\XF.php⁡, opening it in a text editor.
In the file, look for the line containing the license. It's around line 50, labeled ⁡XF_LICENSE_KEY

Remove your key from the line and save.

Next, go to the file in the archive upload\src\XF\Admin\Controller\TemplateModificationController.php and open it, looking for the function

And we comment out the part of the code that defines and checks ⁡$templateModRepo⁡ and subsequently returns the permissions check.

Next, go to the file ⁡upload\src\XF\Service\Upgrade\CheckerService.php⁡⁡ check
